Our Story
Back in 2006, it was proposed to Zoroastrians living in New Zealand that a community centre be established in Auckland. The purpose of this centre would be to provide a place of worship, as well as a permanent venue for Zoroastrians to come together for their functions, get-togethers and various community events. The centre would in turn advance and preserve the Zoroastrian culture and faith for our youth and future generations.
Thus, the Zoroastrian Community Trust of New Zealand (ZCT) was formed in 2007 with a single minded vision to oversee the establishment of a community centre and place of worship in Auckland.

The Zoroastrian community in New Zealand consist of comparatively young, first generation migrants who have come mainly from India to make New Zealand their new home.

Over the past 18 years, ZCT has collected funds through their pledge donors, one-off donations from individuals and businesses and via various fundraising efforts.
Today, ZCT has 82 Pledge Donors, from approximately 200 families in New Zealand. By giving us your support, you do not just help us grow, you give our youth the opportunity to grow, in turn, enabling us collectively to succeed; and “Success is Progress”.
